Chapter 2
Importance Of Inspiration
By
The Man Who Saw God Face To Face
Raphael Okechukwu Nweze
He was known as the epitome of success.
Everybody respected him for that, everywhere.
One day, I asked him,
“Please, what is the secret of your
resounding success?”
He looked up and beamed forth with smile.
When he spoke after a while,
the answer was clear to me.
“Oh! It is so easy.” he said.
“Obedience to the still small voice,
the promptings of inspiration.”
IMPORTANCE ON INSPIRATION
Jesus said, “What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and become a tree, and the birds of the air perched on its branches.” Luke.13: 18-19
I say to you that you have this mustard seed, the garden and the birds of the air. The mustard seed are forever being broadcast by God, through the human minds.
They are the ideas, solutions and possibilities, which occur to the minds of men, from time to time. Nothing is existent on earth, which had not first been an idea - “a mustard seed.” Think of the great nations of the world, the bridges over the waters, the planes flying in the sky, the electricity we use, etc. All theses started as an idea, which occurred to a single mind. The garden remains the earth. The birds of air are the humanity, which benefit immensely and variedly from the great works of the successful.
You cannot ignore these promptings and expect to become successful. They are the seeds of success: The seeds of realities. The idea which occurs to you today, and which you neglect, will tomorrow make another person, who cares to act on it, successful. The Genius looks where the ordinary mind considers insignificant. Inspiration directs one to particular tasks, which may take the form of discovery, innovation or invention. Hence, the invention of electricity, machines and processes, began as an inspiration or idea.
"All achievements, all earned riches,
have their beginning in an idea."
…Napoleon Hill
One successful genius owes his achievement to his ability to recognize, accept and act on the inspirations he receives. He observed that what makes the remarkable difference between his successfulness and the mediocrity of others is that others neglect such promptings.
There is a “Still Small Voice” which speaks silently and audibly to us. It may sound insignificant. Yet, its message is always true and convincing. You may ask, “How have mankind been able to make diverse and prodigious development?”- It has been by the guidance of this still small voice in bit-by-bit inspirations, from time to time. In silence, solitude and meditation, the “One Within” is called upon to issue forth flashes of illumination. And in the degree we acknowledge and demand of it, watch out for its promptings and obey its guidance, does it render inspiration.
Scientific evidence proves that inspiration is true. One, the word inspiration is called “illumination”. To “illuminate” means “to enlighten, to educate, to provide success tips.” Also, it means to let the light of understanding shine forth so that people may know the truth.
From day to day, we receive inspiration in the form of ideas, urges, advice, promptings, reminders, etc. This notwithstanding, the problem with us is that we often fail to act on the inspiration, because people are lovers of ease.
In outline form, inspiration from God provides us with the following benefits:
- It is informative.
